Organic Farming Philosophy

Organically Grown & Harvested

Starts with Soil

There is a local recycling company in Tampa, FL that makes USDA certified organic soil. It takes about 3 years to make, turning piles of yard waste into a compost with a neutral pH and a sandy base.

Oak Mulch

Since we have an abundance of Oak Trees in Tampa, Fl we offer free mulch drop-off. Its added to the composted soil and added as a top layer in the orchard and raised beds to help sprout moringa seeds.

Biostimulant

Moringa trees are high in a special fast-growth hormone called Zeatin. Its especially high in the leaves. They're processed and preserved to create a living soil amendment with microorangisms and minerals.

Chemical Free

We are a network of small farms scattered across the USA. There's no need to use chemicals, pesticides or herbicides like conventional large farms. Certified grower members use the Biostimulant.

Amendments

Building soil is the most crucial step to keep the trees healthy. Other soil additives like biochar and azomite rock dust help to re-mineralize the soil and hold moisture keeping the microorganisms alive.

Inter-Cropping

Moringa is a companion plant and loves living in a community. Using permaculture principles adding nitrogen fixers, ground covers and bushes in the field, moringa grows much better. Using the chop and drop method adds biomass.

Why Our Moringa is Different

Quality is Not an Accident

The Industry Truth

99% of all moringa is imported into the USA. Some large operations dry the greens outside in the field or in an open air building causing mold and bacteria to form. The entire tree can be mixed together, with sticks and stems, but they're not as digestible for humans. It can take years before imported moringa can reach the shelf or your home. Many times it can be cut with other powders.

Our Focus

We only dry and process the moringa leaves used for human consumption. That's why our powder is so green and vibrant. The leaves are dried in a climate controlled environment. They're air-dried on screen racks. Buyers receive the freshest batch of locally grown USA moringa. The difference in quality is night and day.

Local, Fresh and Raw

Freshness You Can See

Vibrantly Green

Getting vibrant green moringa requires precision from harvest to packaging. Leaves are carefully separated, washed, and dried in climate-controlled, low-humidity environments. Once dry, moringa can quickly absorb moisture again, so it must be sealed promptly to maintain freshness, color, and quality.

Raw Never Cooked

Some operations will dry the leaves outside but moisture can cause mold to form. Some operations place greens in heated cloth dryers. This results in loss of nutrients and damages the color and taste. The secret is spreading the greens out on screen racks within 6 hours from harvest, using a dehumidifier and fans in a climate controlled environment.

Days from Harvest

Most moringa is imported and travels long distances and may sit in storage for extended periods. Our approach is different since our supply is local USA. Often, just days from being harvested orders arrive to customers resulting in consistent quality, vibrant green color and fresh aroma.

Safety and Quality Standards Matter

Moringa is so powerful that it has the ability to pull up nutrients from the soil. That's why it is imperative that the soil is free from heavy metals. These toxic elements can accumulate in soils that have been sprayed with conventional pesticides. That's why growing moringa organically is vital for the health of our customers.

Soil & Leaf Tests

From backyard harvesting to a USA wholesale growers & suppliers. In 2016, Kendrick Henry began harvesting moringa trees from other people’s properties. By partnering with homeowners and landowners across Tampa and St. Petersburg, he turned unused trees into opportunity — harvesting greens and selling them directly at farmers markets.

Each grower location is encouraged to complete the 'Safe Soil Checklist' in the members area. Then, get the soil tested. Then, once you have greens, get the greens tested.

Heavy Metal Soil Test

The heavy metals kit consists of filling a bag of soil from your growing location and sending to the lab. They will look for heavy metals like Arsenic, Barium, Cadmium, Chromium, Lead, Mercury, Selenium and Silver. These ingredients get into the soil from chemical conventional fertilizers and herbicides.

Nutritional Food Grade Leaf Test

Once the leaves are produced, they could carry trace amounts of heavy metals. So, its best to check the leaf powder once you have some. Also, this test helps to detect mold or bacteria which can accumulate from the harvesting and drying process. The leaf test assures the powder is a nutritional food grade standard for human and animal consumption.

Pruning, Trimming, Harvesting

Healthier Trees & Fresher Greens

Our moringa trees are harvested on the morning of full moons. This practice helps to ensure the sap is still high in the leaves and maximum nutrients are obtained.

Opening the Center

I’ve practiced yoga at several studios, but none compare to the sense of community I’ve found. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt welcomed and supported. The instructors are not just teachers—they truly care about your well-being. They offer personalized guidance and adapt the sessions to meet your individual needs.

Popping the Tops

As someone who’s struggled with stress and anxiety, yoga has been a true blessing in my life. I started attending classes to manage my stress, and the results have been incredible. Not only have I gained strength and flexibility, but the calming and restorative techniques have helped me manage my anxiety better than any therapy.
