Other People's Properties

Kendrick Henry built the foundation of the Grow Moringa Collective by harvesting trees on Other People’s Properties (OPP). If your goal is to make income quickly, this is one of the fastest ways to get started. Look around your neighborhood during the summer — moringa trees grow tall and are easy to spot above fences and rooftops. When you find one, simply introduce yourself and ask the property owner for permission to harvest. Most people aren’t using their tree and are open to an agreement. With permission, you can harvest the greens, dry them, and turn them into product — creating value from a resource that’s already there.

This is NOT Kendrick's Property

In this example, the property owner is a member of the collective, and Kendrick harvests their trees through a shared agreement. Kendrick harvests, dries, and processes into powder, then a portion of the finished product is returned to the owner. This creates a win-win: The property owner receives usable product without doing the labor, and the harvester gains access to supply to sell at markets or fulfill orders. This type of collaboration is at the core of how the collective operates — turning unused trees into shared income opportunities.

Driving For Dollars

Fastest Way to Make Money From Moringa

While having land is an advantage, growing is not the fastest way to generate income. If you need to make money now, start by harvesting existing trees. They're already BIG and need harvesting. You don't need to wait for your trees to get big. This method is called “Driving for Dollars.”

Drive through older neighborhoods and look for large moringa trees growing above fences and rooftops. Many of these trees are unharvested and need trimming.

You can also connect with members on the Moringa Map who need help harvesting. With permission, you can harvest their leaves. Take them home and dry them, package them, and sell them locally — often within 7 days. Harvest on a Monday, dry them till Friday, package and sell them at the farmers market on Saturday.

This is how Kendrick Henry made his first $100,000 in the moringa business.

Drying Other People's Greens

Turn Fresh Leaves into Dry Product

Once you’ve harvested moringa leaves, the next step is drying. Kendrick started drying on screen racks to avoid mold, bacteria and E.Coli. While hanging and bundling can be good for other plants and herbs, its not advised for moringa because its soft and the wet nature can cause mold, bacteria and fungus to form. The leaves can dry faster than the sticks and stems.

You don’t need expensive equipment to get started. A simple drying rack can be built using basic materials like wood frames and window screen, or you can purchase one from our Supplies Page. While long-term production should use food-grade material free from fiberglass, cheap plastics and chemically treated wood, you'll want to plan for drying in more humidity controlled environments, getting started is about taking action.

Begin by experimenting, drying small batches in your kitchen, and learning the process. Drying is where fresh greens become a sellable product — this is where value is created.

The Money Room

Where Raw Leaves Become Income

This is where the business begins to scale. In the photo, Kendrick stands inside what he calls “The Money Room.” Every dollar made from moringa greens passes through a space like this — a dedicated area for drying large volumes of leaves.

This could be: a shed, spare room, garage, or small building.

By converting a simple space into a drying room, you can increase production, improve consistency, and handle larger harvests. This is how Kendrick scaled from small batches to consistent income — by turning a basic space into a processing hub. Learn the details of creating a 'money room' and beocme a member of The Grow Moringa Collective.

Other People's Trees

Many people call us asking if we can harvest their trees. We tell them to ask members in their area, using the moringa map. Get on the map to find people in your area that have trees and are also looking for help harvesting their trees. You could dry their greens and go to market in 7 days.

Buying Wholesale

You don’t need to grow everything yourself — you can access products already produced by members of the collective. Purchase seeds, powder, oil, or trees at wholesale prices, then repackage and resell locally or online. This is one of the fastest ways to create inventory, test your market, and generate income without waiting for your trees to mature. Grow & Sell.

Grow Your Network

The real business is not just growing trees — it’s growing your network. The more growers, suppliers, and customers you know, the more opportunities you’ll have to make money. Inside the collective, you’ll meet people with land, product, and experience. By building relationships, you can start selling other people’s moringa, finding supply when you need it, and helping connect buyers.

Fastest Way To Scale

One of the fastest ways to start generating income is by buying moringa seeds in bulk and selling them in smaller retail packs.

For example, a 10kg sack of seeds can be broken down into thousands of individual units, allowing you to create inventory quickly and sell at retail pricing. Many members use this strategy to generate immediate cash flow without waiting for trees to grow.

Because moringa often dies back in the winter across much of the USA, growers need to replant every year — creating strong demand for seeds season after season.

This means you’re not just making one-time sales — you’re building recurring customers who come back each year to buy again.

Growers need help selling their moringa. That's where we come in. We are the marketing and advertising agency for the growers. Our trained affiliates and sales reps help to sell moringa with their coupon codes.

Getting Started

The Cooperative Business Model

The Grow Moringa Collective operates as a management company for small agricultural cooperatives. We are a collective of co-op's where members grow, supply, market, and sell together. Instead of one farm doing everything, we built an advertising agency with a distributed supply chain across many properties throughout the USA. Our growers produce moringa on their land. Our trained producers process and package the product. Our sellers market and sell it — either under The Grow Moringa Collective brand or their own private label. Together, we function as a unified system.

We Buy Moringa

Inside the Skool Members Area Growers sell their moringa directly to other members. Don't ship your moringa to Kendrick, instead you have access directly to thousands of buyers in our network. Members buy from each other daily. Many of the members have businesses that source local moringa from other member growers. The growers benefit because they get direct access to thousands of buyers who want fresh and local USA moringa. Members fulfill orders for each other. The network supports itself. This creates a system where money circulates within the collective, strengthening everyone involved.

Real World Example: Stawberries

When you buy strawberries at the store, from a major brand, like Driscoll’s, those berries are often grown on different farms across different regions of the USA — but they are marketed and distributed under one brand. That’s how we operate. We help market, advertise, and sell the products grown by our members, creating a unified presence in the marketplace. Farmers need help with marketing, that's where we come in.

What About Laboratory Testing?

1. Safe Soil Checklist (Free Resource)

Before planting anything, start with the Safe Soil Checklist available on our Testing page. This free guide helps you evaluate your property and identify potential risks before you begin growing. It walks you through key considerations like past land use, nearby contamination sources, and basic soil conditions so you can make informed decisions. This is the first step to ensuring your growing environment is safe and suitable for producing high-quality moringa.

1. Heavy Metal Soil Test

For a deeper level of safety, you can submit a soil sample to a lab for heavy metal testing. This test looks for elements such as lead (Pb), arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), chromium (Cr), and other trace metals that can be present in the soil from past land use or environmental exposure. Moringa is known to absorb nutrients from the soil — which makes testing especially important. Knowing your soil is clean helps protect your crops, your customers, and your long-term business.

2. Food Grade Nutritional Leaf Testing

Once you begin producing moringa powder, you can take it a step further with food-grade testing of your finished product. This involves sending a sample of your powder to a third-party lab to test for heavy metals, mold, bacteria, and E. coli, along with nutritional analysis. This type of testing helps verify product quality, supports transparency, and builds trust with customers — especially if you plan to sell at scale or enter wholesale markets.

Turn Moringa into Income

If you don't have land or trees, that's okay. Start with the right information. Kendrick Has over 10 years of moringa farming experience, to help you. The next step, is to learn how to turn moringa into a valuable product that you can sell.
